Photograph signed: "Sid Melton/'ALF'" and "Mary Grace Canfield/'Ralph''", B/w 10x8. Green Acres was televised on CBS from 1965-1971. New York lawyer Oliver Wendell Douglas, who had always longed for farm living, moves to Hooterville with his fashionable wife Lisa, who would rather stay in New York. Sid Melton (1920-2011) was an American actor best known for his roles in the television series Green Acres and The Danny Thomas Show. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he is the brother of screenwriter Louis Meltzer. Some of his early acting includes appearances in the films The Shadow of the Thin Man (1941), Blondie Goes to College (1942), Treasure of Monte Cristo (1949), On the Town (1949) and The Geisha Boy (1958). He appeared in two Lippert pictures films Lost Continent (1951) and Radar Secret Service (1950) which were later featured in Mystery Science Theater 3000, the host nicknamed Melton "Monkey Boy". Later in his career he had several roles in television series including The Golden Girls, Captain Midnight, Dragnet, Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C., I Dream of Jeannie and The Dick van Dyke Show. Mary Grace Canfield (1924-2014) an American actress who appeared in several television shows throughout the 1960's and 1970's including The Hathaways, Green Acres, The Andy Griffith Show, The Eleventh Hour, General Hospital and Bewitched. She also acted on stage and in films like The St. Valentine's Day Massacre (1967), Pollyanna (1960) and Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983). Fine condition.
